BoF Voices 2023 announces speakers
BoF Voices 2023, an annual gathering for the who’s who in the global fashion industry, will be held in Oxfordshire from Nov. 28 to 30. Speakers include Matthieu Blazy, creative director of Bottega Veneta; Leena Nair, global chief executive of Chanel; and John C. Is “BRBY” Burberry or Barbie?
After Burberry filed an application to register “BRBY” with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in July 2022, Mattel – manufacturer of the perfectly pink and plastic toy “Barbie” – responded this week by filing a notice of opposition that its company would be damaged if Burberry used the “BRBY” trademark. In its opposition, Mattel alleges that Burberry’s requested “BRBY” trademark is “visually similar” and “phonetically identical” to its Barbie trademark. {The Fashion Law}

Lil Nas X named Crocs’ global ambassador
Grammy-Award winning artist Lil Nas X is teaming up with Crocs as the brand’s latest global ambassador and the face of its new “height” campaign featuring a collection of colorful platform Crocs. Four new styles — including a new silhouette called the Siren Clog — are now available on Crocs’ website. {Fashionista Inbox}
