L’Oréal Groupe acquires 10% of Galderma
L’Oréal announced a 10% investment the Swiss dermatology company (and injectables leader) on Aug. 5. The acquisition marks the beginning of a scientific partnership in which the two companies will combine their dermatological solutions and expertise in skin biology, diagnostic tools and evaluation methods. The partnership will advance L’Oréal’s plan to span the entire beauty routine. L’Oréal will not seek to be represented on the Galderma board of directors. {L’Oréal Finance}

Givenchy opens flagship on Rodeo Drive
Givenchy announced the opening of its first permanent west coast flagship store in a Frank Lloyd Wright-designed building on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, Calif that was originally home to the Anderton Court Shops. Givenchy will preserve the building’s multi-store concept by separating its collections into their own retail spaces (totaling 8,000 square feet), to open in two phases: The first is open now; the second will open in the new year. {Fashionista Inbox}
