China loves designer knitwear
Designer knitwear is becoming the next big thing in China, thanks in part to a new generation of innovative designers. (Though knitwear from brands like Loro Piana is also popular in the region.) The latest news in the space is a collaboration between Ruohan, a Chinese knitwear label founded in 2021 by designer Ruohan Nie, and Erdos, China’s premier cashmere brand. The collection features 28 cashmere knits, silk suits, coats and pants, and will become available in September, writes Vogue Business reporter Gemma A. Williams. {Vogue Business/paywalled}

Sofia Vergara launches sun-care line, Toty
No stranger to the world of beauty, Sofia Vergara is launching Toty, a skin-care, makeup and supplement line, in hopes of promoting sun care year-round. “I would read every single article and started to read about photo damage under the sun. I was in my 20s and that opened my eyes, and that’s when I started wearing sunscreen,” Vergara told James Manso of WWD. The line will offer products priced from $28 to $54, and include internal supplements, a mineral sunscreen, a color-correcting cream and a makeup compact. {WWD/paywalled}
