Senior Apparel Designer at MSCHF
As a Senior Apparel Designer Designer for MSCHF, you will be an integral part of the design team responsible for developing collection concepts and apparel designs. You will manage the design process, assist in product development, and contribute to the design direction. You must be able to prepare fully realized SKU presentations on a regular basis for approval.
About the Role:
● Develop new and innovative designs based on high level direction from Creative Directors.
● Must be comfortable being self guided and be comfortable working independently, creating the most efficient structure for apparel design for the program.
● Create sketches, illustrations, and technical drawings for all apparel design.
● Conduct research on trends, color palettes, fabrications, and garment styles.
● Assist in sourcing and selecting appropriate fabrics, trims, and embellishments for garment prototypes and production.
● Participate in sample reviews and fit sessions to provide feedback on the fit, construction, and design details.
● Must be able to effectively communicate design concepts from the high level down to the technical and ideas to team members.
● Understand and maintain the design aesthetic and language in all products.
● Prepare trend presentations and mood boards to inform the design process.
About You:
● 5+ years of industry design experience minimum
● Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design preferred
● Must be Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
● Must be proficient in hand sketching and Illustration
● Must be able to work independently in a fast paced environment
● Ideally you live in NYC, if you are remote you must operate during EST time zone working hours
Salary Range:
$90,000 to $120,000
