Milan Fashion Week’s Fall 2025 season is well underway, and if the street style looks we’re seeing coming out of the Italian fashion capital are any indication, it’s been a fairly warm February. Warm enough for the mini skirt to become a standout street-style trend, anyway.
Short hemlines and bare knees are having a major moment outside the shows, with Milan’s street-style crowd donning a wide variety of leggy looks. We spotted mini-skirted suit sets, cutout dresses that revealed both the upper thighs and midriffs, and at least one instance of a short skirt peeking out from beneath a cape. We’re also seeing lots of different fabrications come into play, from tweeds to suedes to brocades, knits and velvets. Many mini wearers chose to style their short skirts with knee-high boots and bare legs; others layered them over tights or paired them with a cheeky socks-and-heels combo.
