Business Manager – Meredith Young Jewelry Company

Meredith Young Jewelry is in search of a highly skilled, detail oriented, hands on business manager, manage the back office, email marketing and continue our tradition of unparalleled customer satisfaction. We’re a small company who designs, manufactures, and markets an ethereal, edgy, yet timeless line of wearable fine jewelry. As an ideal candidate, you have a track record of outstanding operational experience that includes inventory management, excel knowledge, scheduling and travel planning. You’ve previously managed day-to-day business and personal tasks, product production, online and retail sales platforms, and some accounting processes. You’re a motivated professional who thrives on attention to detail and productivity always one step ahead of the game. Also the personal assistant side of this business is running some errands for the home office.
Objective:
● Strategize, implement, and oversee processes for increased productivity and growth
● Execute daily operational requirements to meet business objectives
● Maintain an inventory system
Tasks and Responsibilities:
● Sales platform management, including entry of pricing and product information into Shopify, Google Sheets, Brandboom, and Excel Line Sheets.
● Handle all aspects of inventory management in Brandboom, including communication with the software company, reconciliation with AR, and accurate data entry of stones, metals, findings, finished goods.
● Manage multiple spreadsheets in Google Sheets/Docs for submitting new orders, new designs, pricing breakdowns and internal linesheets.
● Opportunities to spearhead custom jobs and create design proposals.
● Manage, organize, and update Dropbox folders of company assets, product, and lifestyle images for press and retailers.
● Continuously examines administrative effectiveness and implements improved processes
● Establish an effective system for information management and retrieval – passwords, photos, office files
● Manage SKU numbers and fully understand the entire product line
● Ensures quality assurance at every level of the business, from product manufacturing to website to customer experience
● Handles all product shipments, and reconciles them to inventory and store transfers
● Accurate and timely scheduling of appointments and travel
● Handle all communications with vendors and channel partners
● Opportunity to management social media and lifestyle photoshoots both onsite and offsite
● Participate in competitive analysis and pricing strategy development
● Pick up materials from art supply stores, and drop off product at subcontractors or clients as needed
Skills and Qualifications
● Bachelor’s or Associates degree in business, management, or related field
● Previous experience as an administrative manager or relevant managerial role
● Strong capabilities with inventory management
● Proven ability with bookkeeping, Excel, and financial processes
● Industry experience with up-to-date knowledge of relevant trends and competitive standards and email marketing as well as social media.
● Must be hands-on, willing to learn, experiment and drive improvements
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
