Meghan Markle Wore a Thing: Olive Green Lisa Marie Fernandez Dress Edition

Featuring several important accessories: sunglasses, sunscreen and her son.

Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the world’s eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. We’ll be following the Meghan Markle Effect™ with our column, “Meghan Markle Wore a Thing.”

Being a new mom hasn’t stopped Meghan Markle, aka the Duchess of Sussex, from venturing out and about into the public eye this summer. Most recently, she was spotted hanging out with her newborn son Archie, sister-in-law Kate Middleton and her nephews and niece Louis, Georgie and Charlotte for a family outing at the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day in Wokingham, England on Wednesday.

For the occasion, the Duchess chose a practical, breezy olive green dress by designer Lisa Marie Fernandez. Cut with a billowy silhouette, short sleeves and a modest v-neck, the linen garment also comes with a sash, though the Duchess chose to forgo that cinching accent for a less structured effect.

She did, however accessorize the look with several important touches: a pair of angular aviator sunglasses by Givenchy, one of her favorite designer labels; her adorable newborn son; and, judging from photos that show a blue-and-yellow bottle lurking in the background, plenty of sunscreen, just like any good new mom (or mum) would know to do. Props for starting little Archie on a healthy skin-care routine nice and early, Meghan!
