Meghan Markle Wore a Thing: Gold Johanna Ortiz Gown Edition

Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the world’s eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. We’ll be following the Meghan Markle Effect with our column, “Meghan Markle Wore a Thing.”

Meghan Markle made a special appearance Tuesday night in New York City to attend the Ms. Foundation Women of Vision Awards, where she received a “Women of Vision” award for her work championing human rights and gender equity. Her look was a vision itself: The Duchess of Sussex wore a radiant, scalloped-patterned gold Johanna Ortiz dress. (Markle’s exact look is sold out pretty much everywhere.)

Colombian designer Ortiz is known for her ability to balance elegant silhouettes with unique textures — and the intricate, dimensional print on Markle’s dress of choice complemented her beautifully. She completed the look with a Carolina Herrera clutch and Tom Ford’s classic padlock heels
