The mission of the Director at Lividini & Co. is to play a lead role in day-to-day account management and the development of communications, marketing and PR initiatives/activation for clients. The Director will be responsible for managing all communication and PR strategies while leveraging their relationships with all publications, celebrity and influencers. This role is a critical and strategic addition to rebrand, grow, and support a substantial client list. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working either in-house or at an agency with global and national brands as well as familiarity with retail PR. The Director will educate Managers, Coordinators and Interns as well as support the overall team, reporting to a Vice President and CEO on everyday initiatives relating to clients PR/Marketing activities and strategic execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or related field
- At least 6+ years’ experience working in Public Relations either In-House or at an Agency, preferably with retail PR experience
- Comprehensive archive of media contacts and relationships
- Experience in pitch presentations and client relations
- Strong leadership and mentorship abilities
- Impressive social and interpersonal skills, especially when related to networking opportunities and collaborating with press contacts
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ability to multi-task with a strategic approach to problem solving
- Proven media pitching skills and media outreach experience and a well-documented record of outstanding placements in fashion/accessories, lifestyle media in national and key regional magazines, newspapers, leading blogs and broadcast
- Planning and co-managing the execution of global, national and regional large scale events, impactful media campaigns and product launches
- Knowledge of the industry specifically luxury fashion/accessories, retail, contemporary fashion and large consumer/mass brand markets
- Management of a minimum of 3-4 accounts at the same time
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, with a working knowledge of Cision and Keynote
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute innovative communications seasonal strategies for large national and global brands as well as niche designers
- Conceptualize and assist in execution of large and small scale press events
- Manage client PR budgets
- Align all cross-functional efforts (paid media, influencers, etc.) to build and implement a synergistic client plan
- Engage in regular communication with media outlets to optimize client exposure
- Secure strategic press coverage – both features/news items and product editorial in top national/regional long lead, short lead and online media outlets
- Maintain strong relationships with key fashion/accessories market editors, industry reporters, relevant fashion stylists and bloggers/influencers
- Regularly communicate campaign statuses to upper management and client
- Report measurable data from all campaigns to Vice President, CEO and ultimately clients
- Consistently identify emerging industry trends and implement where they make sense for clients
- Act as agency point of contact for any media inquiries
- Help with new business/RFPs as needed
- Accompany clients and editors on domestic and international press trips
- Work closely with team to execute the client strategies and produce results in line with client PR weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly goals and tracking of brand impressions
