What: A 2,276-square-foot multi-brand designer concept store in Brooklyn’s waterfront Dumbo neighborhood.
Owner: Dawn Nguyen
Origin Story: Nguyen earned her stripes working as a buyer and manager at La Garçonne, another multi-brand luxury retail destination. At the time, she felt most stores were either “a little bit young and hype-y or very mature and serious — there wasn’t a good middle.” That led her to open L’Ensmeble in April 2024, where she hopes shopping can transcend transactions, especially for the shopper she thinks is neglected by the current landscape: “[I want it to be like] going to a really good restaurant or a really good hotel.” (Read more here.)
