Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Production Jeweler with strong fabrication experience and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be able to efficiently perform repetitive tasks while maintaining exceptional quality. This position offers an opportunity to learn and grow across various areas of our production process, including jewelry fabrication, casting prep, leatherwork, larger-scale homeware pieces, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
• Soldering, hammering, sawing, and balling metal for jewelry production
• Produce multiple copies of the same design while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship
• Learn and contribute to other areas of production, including leatherwork, larger-scale homeware pieces, cleaning and prepping castings, and producing production notes
• Work primarily with silver, gold, bronze, and steel
• Ensure all pieces meet the high standards of the Jill Platner brand, treating each piece as if it were one of a kind
• Maintain a strong work ethic and contribute to the collaborative environment of a small studio
Requirements:
• 2-3 years of experience in jewelry fabrication
• Authorized to work in the US
• Ability to climb stairs as the studio is located on the second floor of a walk-up
