I love it too much to take it off.
My goal at the start of every summer is to find an easy-to-throw-on, chic-yet-comfortable, sweat-resistant ensemble that I can wear on repeat. Years ago, that meant wearing super-soft cotton shorts from Brandy Melville and a ribbed Free People tank. But more recently, it’s translated to linen rompers and slightly cropped white T-shirts. Then, at the end of June, I discovered L.F. Markey‘s peach-colored denim playsuit, and it immediately replaced my breathable rompers and vintage-looking tees as my go-to warm-weather outfit.
Modeled after workwear, this coral style has plenty of handy pockets and an elasticated waist, giving it a snug — yet comfy — fit. Its statement brass zippers and contrast stitching add a feminine touch to the utilitarian-inspired garment. Plus, the denim is soft and lightweight enough that I don’t want to rip it off after walking outside for 20 minutes.
Since receiving it at the beginning of July, I’ve worn it countless times (apologies to my friends and family, who must be tired of seeing me in this). I like to pair it with my white low-top sneakers, for a look that pretty much screams “cute, but casual.”
