Editors’ Picks are the Fashionista team’s true (#notspon) fashion and beauty obsessions, handpicked by professionals who see it all. Any beauty product you see here has been vetted and tested by the editor recommending it.

For longer than I’d care to admit, I was convinced that moisturizer was the last thing my extremely oily skin needed. After all, I wanted my skin to look less shiny, so I piled on products promising to quell my oiliness, exclusively applied mattifying makeup and carried oil-blotting sheets on-the-go. Put simply, my skin barrier was wrecked.

I’ve since righted my skin-care wrongs and plunged into the world of ceramide-packed moisturizers and hydration-boosting serums (which, to my past self’s shock, has actually helped minimize my oil production). Within my ever-growing stockpile of hydrating products, Innisfree’s Green Tea Seed Hyaluronic Cream stands out as my skin barrier savior (and my favorite part of my nighttime skin-care routine).

With a barrier complex of green tea seed oil, squalane and ceramide along with five types of hyaluronic acid, it instantly leaves my skin feeling calm and moisturized. One of my moisturizer pet peeves is a thick, heavy texture that leaves a sticky residue, but this product has a feather-light consistency that easily sinks into my skin. Innisfree understands how to do hydration right: The K-beauty brand grows its own Beauty Green Tea on South Korea’s Jeju Island and also infuses the amino acid-filled ingredient into its cleansing foam, serum, roll-on eye serum and other products.

Along with the extra boost of moisture, my favorite aspect of Innisfree’s cream is the immediate glowing effect it gives my skin. This isn’t short-lived, either: I wake up with glowing, bouncy-looking skin, which is a major plus as a chronic side sleeper.

There are few products that I hoard like a little skin-care goblin, but this has officially earned its spot in my skin-care trove.
