Have you ever seen a more elegant ankle bracelet???
Like tie-dye and Birkenstocks, ankle bracelets occupy a special, nostalgic place for me, because I (like everyone else) wore them a lot circa the summer of 1999. They’ve come and gone in their trendiness over the intervening years, but they’re decidedly back, baby! And as I’ve been scouting pieces to add to my wardrobe for summer, this pearl-studded anklet crossed my path. Not to be dramatic or anything, but I absolutely must get my hands on it (or rather, it on my ankle?) ASAP.
The perfect dainty gold chain with three ovular freshwater pearls, this piece from Insta-bait jewelry brand Adornmonde combines several of the dominant jewelry trends that are having a moment right now. I love it styled with chunky sandals as part of an anklet stack, as shown on the brand’s website, but I’d also wear it to dress up a shorts-and-sneakers outfit or casual sundress (pretty much my two everyday summertime looks).
And this time around, I’ll hold onto my anklets, even if they retreat back into uncool territory — they’re bound make a comeback again soon.
