What: A hair-care brand whose hero product, New Wash, addresses over-cleansing via shampoos by cleaning, conditioning and detangling hair with a blend of naturally derived ingredients

Price Range: $20-$88

Founder: Dina Rosenbloom

Origin Story: Hairstory was founded in 2015 by a team of hair-care industry veterans dedicated to helping people rethink everything about hair. Hairstory’s core product, New Wash, cleans hair without any detergent, ending what the company sees as a vicious cycle of over-cleansing created by shampoo.

Hairstory uses a “first-of-its-kind” formula that cleans, conditions, detangles and restores hair without using harsh foams found in traditional shampoos. The products are detergent-free, sulfate-free, paraben-free, silicone-free, non-toxic and biodegradable. They’re also formulated with gentle ingredients such as aloe vera, sunflower seed oil, jojoba seed oil and evening primrose oils to balance, soothe, strengthen and clean hair.

Hairdressers across the country have the opportunity to be part of a larger community by having the chance to earn 25% commission on every order placed by their clients. They also receive partnership opportunities and special pricing.
