There are perfectly good celebrity style moments, and then there are the looks that really stick with you, the ones you try desperately to recreate at home. In ‘Great Outfits in Fashion History,’ Fashionista editors are revisiting their all-time favorite lewks.
I didn’t grow up celebrating Halloween, so I don’t care much for Halloweekend, nor do I put a lot of thought behind my costumes. (In fact, I annually find myself among the “last-minute costume idea” crowd.) But, even I have fun seeing how celebrities go all-out during the spooky season. Even more so when stars decide to costume as other celebs.
That’s exactly what Zendaya did while attending the 2013 Keep A Child Alive’s 20th annual Dream Halloween. She channeled Aaliyah and donned the iconic outfit from the late singer’s Tommy Hilfiger campaign: a logo-embellished bandeau, peekaboo briefs (currently trending!), baggy, low-rise jeans and a red windbreaker. She accessorized with white sneakers, hoop earrings and a dainty finger bracelet.
The “Challengers” star also nailed the ’90s beauty look, imitating Aaliyah’s signature swooped bang, paired with smoky eye shadow and a red lip.
