The Production and Merchandising Assistant role is a great way to gain firsthand insight into the world of designer fine jewelry in an intimate environment. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and some jewelry experience. The ideal candidate has some familiarity with the NYC jewelry district and experience in e-commerce. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a high profile, yet growing brand. Candidates must be willing to circulate the city regularly. This is a permanent part time position. Candidates must be available a minimum of 16-20 hours per week, with at least one full day and two half days of regular hours.

Production and Merchandising Assistant Responsibilities

  • Process changes and updates to inventory, Quickbooks, website, line sheets as new merchandise arrives.
  • Coordinate with the e-commerce photographer. Drop off/pick up merchandise to/from photo shoots. Communicate revisions; process and file images afterward.
  • Prep and pack and sales orders per the guidance of the sales director.
  • Process all shipments- create documentation, shipping labels, pack according to brand specifications, drop off to Fedex
  • Create loan and memo documentation. Coordi
  • nate shipment, messengers, delivery accordingly.
  • Receive loans and memos into the system upon return.
  • Assist in all manners of preparation for trunk shows and sales events. Support on staffing these events when required.
  • Replenish office supplies as needed
  • Set up the showroom for sales appointments.
  • Assist with web client and private client customer service– check inventory, answer inquiries.
  • Assist with general company projects — DW collateral updates (line sheets), trade/trunk show packing preparation & coordination, special events, etc.
  • Domestic production:
    • Visit local manufacturers to place POs, perform repairs, move production amongst manufacturers, pick up when complete, source materials, etc.
    • Receive merchandise when complete.
    • Process invoices from manufacturers.
  • Overseas production:
    • Place POs as needed.
    • Ship any raw materials as needed.
    • Receive incoming merchandise.
    • Process invoices from manufacturers.
