Between braving the Big Apple’s slushy sidewalks for New York Fashion Week and keeping up with all the show-stopping looks from London and Milan, it’s been quite a busy month for team Fashionista (not to mention Paris gearing up to capture the fashion crowd’s attention next week). In celebration of our fashion-filled February, we’re reflecting on all the stylish pieces that carried us through the wintry weather.
Since no outfit is complete without eye-catching accessories, we embraced chic chocolate-colored handbags, Ring Pop-reminiscent bejeweled earrings and a chunky gold gemstone ring. We also relied on cold-weather gear (a toasty puffer jacket, fleece sweatpants and a cashmere wrap) and timeless wardrobe staples (high-waisted straight-leg jeans, slightly oversized corduroys and a buttery soft long-sleeve top). A few of our favorite statement pieces included a fuzzy graphic sweater a silver-studded faux-leather coat. Of course, we didn’t forget about footwear: Our editors are prepping our springtime wardrobes with comfy mint-green sneakers, T-strap velvet flats and leopard-print Mary Janes.
Ahead, see (and shop!) all of Fashionista’s February fashion discoveries.
St. Agni 90s Petit Shoulder Bag, $209, available here: “I finally bit the bullet on this bag that had been on my wishlist for months when it briefly went on sale during the holidays and I’m so glad I did. It works with just about everything in my wardrobe and despite being almost radically simple in design, it garners compliments every time I wear it. It is very small, but perfect for a phone/credit card/lip gloss/keys situation, and the quality is great for even the full price.” —Dhani Mau, Editor in Chief
Reformation Simona Cylinder Bag, $398, available here: “Perfectly on-trend yet timeless, this diminutive barrel bag became my most-worn accessory this month. The chocolate brown suede makes it super versatile and understated — but still noticeable enough that it garnered me compliments every time I wore it.” —Steph Saltzman, Beauty + Style Director
Evie The Evie Ring, $269, available here: “The Evie Ring has been the perfect introduction to smart rings for me, and I’m so glad I tried this more affordable option before splurging on something pricier. It covers all the essentials: tracking my steps, sleep and heart rate. I especially appreciate the open, adjustable band, which accommodates natural fluctuations in finger size. Despite usually hating to sleep in jewelry, I completely forgot I was wearing it. You can customize notifications and set goals pertaining to health and fitness or, like me, turn them off for a more low-key experience. Overall, it’s a fantastic starter ring for anyone looking to get the basics of a health-tracking ring without breaking the bank.” —Savannah Sitton, Market + Branded Content Editor
Michael Nash Jewelry Fuchsia and Peacock Blue Double Stone Clip Earrings, $64, available here: “I love big chunky fashion earrings like these that I found at Wolf & Badger in Soho. I recently found a similar vintage pair at my local flea market and have been on the hunt for more ever since. These colors in particular remind me of bright, vivid Ring Pop clusters, and why wouldn’t I want to wear candy-like gemstone jewelry all the time?” —Brooke Frischer, Staff Writer + Social Media Manager
Aje Freeflow Blouson Sleeve Knit, $325, available here: “I don’t think I’ve ever received as many compliments on a sweater as I do while wearing this one out and about. The billowy sleeves and its outlined detailing make it a total standout piece. I wore this during New York Fashion Week with a pair of jeans and flats, and it was easily one of my favorite outfits of the week (despite being the most straightforward). Be warned, though, the sweater does shed — a lot. But the fuss is so worth the final look.” —Janelle Sessoms, Staff Writer
Jenny Bird Margaux Puff Earrings, $168, available here: “Jenny Bird is shaking up my jewelry stash with its new Margaux Puff, a high-shine gold teardrop earring with a slightly flattened front. I almost exclusively rock gold hoops on the daily, but this statement droplet shape has quickly become a new favorite of mine thanks to its sleek, eye-catching design. Plus, the earrings are hollowed out for a lightweight wear, ensuring no sagging earlobes.” —Catie Pusateri, Contributing Writer
Tory Burch Violet T-Strap, $398 $259, available here: “A T-strap flat feels like a perfect winter-to-spring transition shoe, especially for those of us now feeling a bit of Mary Jane fatigue. They were one of my favorite accessory styles on the brand’s Spring 2024 runway and I feel it’s my duty to report that the black velvet iteration is currently on sale (though I’m also obsessing over the brown suede).” —Dhani
Alo Snuggle Up Sweater High-Waist Wide Leg Pant, $198, available here: “When I say these are the coziest pants I’ve ever put on my body, I’m not exaggerating. The plush knit is ultra-thick and cozy, but still cloudlike and lightweight. There has never been a more ideal garment for February’s freezing doldrums.” —Steph
Ian Charms x Cann Roadie Charm, $52, available here: “As a cannabis-using fashion lover, I have to nominate the Cann x Ian Charms collab as the cutest partnership of the month. The bead-obsessed designer partnered with the beverage brand to create a custom bag charm specifically designed to clip Cann’s microdosed THC Roadies on the go. The brands also shared the Roadie sampler with me and I’m obsessed with the Lemon Lavender flavor (makes the best mocktails), so I’ll definitely be using this handy bag charm to tote a Roadie when I go out with friends, since I don’t drink alcohol.” —Savannah
Sézane Clyde Trench Coat, $350, available here: “Recently, I can’t stop adding new versions of different trench coats to my closet. This slightly faded, matcha-like green style by Sézane is the latest to catch my eye. I particularly love its straight-cute silhouette plus its funky checkered-patterned lining. This plus my favorite denim and an Olsen hair tuck? It’s the recipe for a perfect rainy day look.” —Brooke
Rumored Simon Pants, $114, available here: “I’ve always kept corduroys at a distance, mainly because most look atrocious on me, but this pair from Rumored have somehow broken the curse. They boast a flattering, oversized fit that comfortably fits my wider hips and cinches my waist. The styling opportunities are endless, too: They’re just professional enough that I can throw on a blazer for work events, but if I want something more casual, I can reach for a T-shirt and sneakers.” —Janelle
Reformation Clara Cashmere Crew Cardigan, $248, available here: “Ref re-introduced its best-selling sweater of 2024 in four new, 2025-approved colorways this month, including this lovely lemon hue. I love that this cardi has a boxy cut, creating a loose, cozy silhouette, rather than form-fitting. The cashmere blend (95% recycled and 5% virgin cashmere) is soft and not itchy, and the lightweight knit is breathable while still warm, making it the perfect layering piece for spring, especially in this bright canary shade.” —Savannah
Franco Sarto Franco Tinsley Mary Jane Flat, $115 $80, available here: “I’ve officially caught the animal-print bug. Diverging from my neutrals-filled footwear wardrobe (though some would argue animal print is a neutral), these leopard-print Mary Jane flats instantly elevate my go-to high-waisted denim and cable-knit sweater uniform. With their square-toe design and supportive ergonomic insoles, these chic flats are comfortable enough to wear all day long without any pesky blisters.” —Catie
Aritzia Sweatfleece Mega Cargo Sweatpant, $85, available here: “Much like its award-winning Super Puff coat, you just can’t beat Aritzia’s Super Fleece line. I’ve been wearing these sweats for nearly three years, before I finally decided to get another pair this month in this new faded black color, and was pleasantly surprised that the brushed fleece interior feels even softer than my previous pair. I wear these everywhere from running errands to airplane travel, because the fleece is so superiorly warm, yet breathable.” —Savannah
J.Crew Cashmere Wrap, $148 $103, available here: “I’ve been weirdly scarf-averse ever since moving to L.A., I think it’s the trauma of 10 years of New York winters, but when I saw this cashmere “wrap” (good move not calling it a scarf I guess), I felt compelled to buy it. I thought it would make a good non-bulky, travel-friendly blanket alternative for cold airplanes (which it does), but I’ve found myself wearing it frequently over the last couple months and it’s now one of my favorite accessories: It’s ultra soft and lightweight (but still warm), can be worn tons of different ways and looks especially chic paired with a matching sweater.” —Dhani
Atticus X Spiritual Gangster My Soul Belair Hoodie, $168, available here: “Atticus, the anonymous poet, teamed up with Spiritual Gangster on an inspiring capsule of cozy loungewear. Both brands are known for spreading positivity; I love the poetry printed on this super soft 100% cotton hoodie as a little reminder to practice being more mindful. I also appreciate the silhouette is slightly cropped with a boxy, relaxed fit. It’s my most comfortable reminder to prioritize self-love every day.” —Savannah
Lioness Off Duty Denim Shirt, $79, available here: “Denim is as classic as it gets, but I love that this shirt has the unexpected detail of a curvy, asymmetrical hem for a bit of fun. And the heavy weight of the fabric and oversized cuffs only make it feel more special.” —Steph
Bedhead Animal Instinct Stretch Jersey Boyshort Underwear, $20, available here: “I’m picky when it comes to panties but these are surprisingly silky-soft, breathable and don’t ride up uncomfortably. I’ve loved sleeping in these. Plus, the feisty print is new for Valentine’s Day.” —Savannah
Urban Outfitters Out From Under Bec Cotton Double Layer Bra, $19, available here: “As someone who prefers their bralettes to have more coverage than not, I love the on-trend double-layer design of this piece from Urban Outfitters’ new athleisure drop. It’s very cute, but also super comfortable for an everyday, on-the-go moment.” —Brooke
Madewell Dean Easy Straight Jean, $148, available here: “Madewell has a new denim style in town, and it’s a vintage jean-lover’s dream. The Dean Easy Straight jean is a straight-cut silhouette with a comfy low-rise waist, which I love. The brand’s pure cotton denim is starchy with little stretch, creating that satisfying rigid feel that softens over time. Despite the structured denim, the seams have some give, so while the waistband sits snug, it doesn’t pinch when I sit down. After the comfort and broken-in fit, I love the vintage-feel wash and distressed effect — they’re casual but still can be up-styled with an elevated top. (Like the Ref cardigan above, for example.)” —Savannah
Kizik Women’s Athens 2, $139, available here: “I raved over my Kiziks last year, so it should come as no surprise I snagged another pair to add to my shoe closet. This latest addition is just as comfy and hassle-free as I’ve come to expect from the brand. The light green hue has been a nice pop of color within my sneaker rotation, but it’s still subdued enough to be styled with so many different workout outfits.” —Janelle
Dynamite Cara High Rise Straight Jeans, $80, available here: “With the approaching skinny jeans resurgence sending chills down my spine (sorry, millennials), I’m continuing to cling to my beloved straight-leg denim silhouettes. Dynamite’s Cara checks all my denim-related boxes with its high-waisted fit, sleek straight-leg cut and deep indigo wash. The classic style is crafted from non-stretch denim, making it a slightly stiff — yet still comfortable — option that holds its shape after multiple wears.” —Catie
Nuuds Slinky Rib Long Sleeve Shirt, $68, available here: “I don’t know how Nuuds did it, but it created the softest long sleeve ever. This ‘slinky rib’ fabric (a modal blend) is so buttery soft and somehow feels warm while being lightweight and breathable. It’s curve-hugging but extremely stretchy, as are the seams at the wrists, waist and neckline. This has felt and looked so nice under all of my itchy sweaters this winter, and the fabric has yet to show signs of wear. I’ve been waiting for the super fine knit to disintegrate in the wash, but it hasn’t. It feels like fine cashmere, and for that price, I need more.” —Savannah
Aritzia The Super Puff Shorty – Rainstop, $325, available here: “Midway through New York Fashion Week, I found myself unprepared for an impending snowstorm (how did I not have a single coat with a hood?), but the kind team at Aritzia’s new Soho store helped me out with a much-needed Super Puff. I was immediately obsessed with this chic taupe shade, and while a longer style may have been more practical, the “shorty” was perfect for my short stature and just made for a better outfit. It’s just as warm as the brand claims and I especially appreciate the spacious hood and high neckline.” —Dhani
Colin LoCascio Studded Bernie Coat, $340, available here: “I rented this black, silver-studded jacket on Nuuly for February New York Fashion Week and instantly fell in love. Though it’s made from a faux leather material, this piece kept me warm through the cold New York City winds and I would have never known the difference.” —Brooke
Mejuri Organic Dôme Molten Gemstone Ring, $198, available here: “This month, the crowd-favorite jewelry brand dropped a new Organic Dôme collection — an extension of the bestselling ‘Art of the Stack’ collection and made to layer. This sculptural ring took my breath away; I’m a big fan of chunky gold rings lately, especially with a fat gemstone accent of some sort, and this ruby red garnet feels so different from the many clear crystals in my jewelry box. It’s weighted, but not heavy, and feels comfortable to wear all day. I love how it looks styled with my Smart ring.” —Savannah
Significant Other Coralie Maxi Dress, $280, available here: “An asymmetrical maxi dress is going to do it for me every time, and I particularly love this combination of a high neckline and an off-the-shoulder detail (not to mention the oh-so trendy mocha mousse colorway). Along with its chic asymmetrical design, the Australia-based brand’s knit dress features a textured fabric for an added touch of edge to its sophisticated silhouette.” —Catie
JW Anderson Anchor Hoodie, $1,150, available to rent here: “The retail price tag wasn’t in the cards for me when I first fell in love with this knit, so when I saw it on Rent The Runway, I was so excited to snag it at least for a little while. This hoodie alone kept me cozy and warm on a winter evening in Manhattan and got too many compliments to count. Its rope string details give a cool nautical vibe without feeling too on-the-nose with the anchor-shaped logo. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for when this style eventually goes on sale.” —Brooke
Lioness Kenny Bomber, $129, available here: “This was my favorite leather bomber jacket last year, so I’m excited to report it’s just been restocked. Crafted of woven-embossed leather for that intrecciato look we all love, it’s cut for an oversized, relaxed fit that’s true to size. I love that the waist and wrist seams are gathered for some stretch and the polo collar neckline is just the cherry on top. Ultra versatile and deceivingly affordable, I bet it’ll sell out again in no time.” —Savannah
