Fashionista's December Shopping List: 26 Items Our Editors Love

After making our wishlists and checking them twice, we treated the most stylish person on our lists — ourselves, of course — to fashion-forward finds this December.

Here at Fashionista, we spent a good part of the wintry month bundled in knitwear, including an oversized button-up sweater and a cable-knit pullover with slightly flared sleeves. We also refreshed our shoe selections with suede cowboy boots sporting floral embroidery, vibrant blue and fuchsia sneakers, and crocodile textured ballet flats. This month featured some wild-card additions to our closets as well, such as an animal print midi dress, a bright-red cropped cardigan and a Hello Kitty-themed leather bag charm.

For those looking to ring in the new year with some retail therapy, see (and shop!) all of our top fashion finds from December, below.

Flore Flore Black Steffi Long Sleeve T-Shirt, $105, available here: “Boatneck tops are having a comeback and I’m very much here for it. With its neckline and three-quarter sleeves, this feels like a much more elevated version of something I would’ve bought at Limited Too in middle school.” —Dhani Mau, Editor in Chief

Damson Madder Bluebelle Midi Dress, $140, available here: “I surprised myself when I scooped this up on Black Friday — I’m not usually an animal print girlie, but after spotting it in a store earlier in the month, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Made from 100% organic cotton, it’s breezy and comfy, with a super stretchy smocked bodice, cute bow details and puffy (but not absurdly voluminous) sleeves. So fun.” —Steph Saltzman, Beauty + Style Director

Roots Cloud Fleece Sweatpant, $88 $60, available here: “There are few things in this world I love more than a cozy pair of sweatpants. This icy blue style from Roots has been keeping me comfortable all month long. Not only are they snug for a casual lounge on the couch, but their smooth, creaseless cotton fabric and tapered fit make me feel perfectly presentable for an errand run or walk in the park.” —Brooke Frischer, Staff Writer + Social Media Manager

With Clarity Bezel Lab Diamond Tennis Bracelet, $1,660, available here: “This lab-grown diamond tennis bracelet offers impressive quality for its price tag. In fact, I leave it on all the time and it sparkles nonstop. Plus, the sturdy hinge never snags my clothing, unlike other bracelets I own.” —Savannah Sitton, Contributing Market + Branded Content Editor

Gap x Cult Gaia Cropped Cable-Knit Cardigan, $108, available here: “I’ve had my eye on this gorgeous cherry-red cropped cardigan since the Gap x Cult Gaia collaboration first launched in October, and I finally added it to my beloved (albeit overflowing) sweater wardrobe. It’s just the right length for my go-to high-rise denim, and its wool-blend fabric has made it a cozy addition to my holiday outfits. Plus, the bright red is a welcome departure from my usual neutrals in my ongoing quest to brighten up my closet.” —Catie Pusateri, Contributing Writer

Bombas Gripper Slipper Bootie Sherpa Lined, $60, available here: “It’s rare to catch me without socks on (seriously, I even sleep in them), but the laundry pile was getting out of hand. These sherpa-cushioned gripper slippers provide me the cozy feel of my beloved socks without the tedious chore of washing them every time I take them off. I also appreciate that, though they keep my feet warm and comfy, they’re breathable enough that my toes aren’t profusely sweating.” —Janelle Sessoms, Staff Writer

Ugg Classic Slipper, $100, available here: “I know these Ugg slippers have been ubiquitous for some time but I didn’t feel particularly drawn to the craze until DSW generously offered me a pair. These are the first Uggs I’ve owned since high school and I wear them constantly, the cozy plush lining is a dream. I don’t know why I held out for so long.” —Dhani

Dingo 1969 Flower Power Suede Boots, $220, available here: “In honor of Beyoncé’s upcoming ‘Cowboy Carter’ NFL Christmas performance, it was only right that I finally snagged myself a pair of cowboy boots. I love that these balance the traditional Western silhouette with the whimsical, floral embroidery running across the knee-high shaft. Most importantly, these darlings are uber-comfy — so much so I didn’t even have to break them in.” —Janelle Sessoms, Staff Writer

Levi’s Essential Sporty T-Shirt, $30 $21, available here: “I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the T-shirt of my dreams. Finding a fitted T-shirt that doesn’t make me feel over-exposed or like I’m squeezing into it has been one of my hardest fashion challenges over the years. That is until I found this style from Levi’s. The length is short enough to meet the waistband of my everyday jeans perfectly, but long enough to not qualify as a baby tee. The only problem is it doesn’t come in more colors!” —Brooke

Good American Crocodile Ballet Flats, $139, available here: “Another Black Friday purchase, these croc-embossed flats look so much more expensive than they are. And they’re even more comfortable than I expected — I didn’t get a single blister on my first wear!” —Steph

Past Midnight The Icon, $148, available here: “I have quite the penchant for vintage-inspired sunglasses (especially in oversized aviator shapes), and this kitschy silhouette from Miami-based eyewear brand is the retro pair of my dreams: I love that the warm-tinted lenses are slightly shady, so I can wear them in or outdoors comfortably. The big, pronounced shape makes such a head-turning statement and the burgundy hue is one of this season’s hottest shades. I’ve loved wearing them during the holiday season.” —Savannah

Petite Plume x Parachute Women’s Pima Pajama Set, $118, available here: “It’s officially long-pajamas season and I plan on wearing this minimalist set non-stop into next year. Designed in collaboration with linens brand Parachute, they’re made with Peruvian Pima cotton, which just feels unbelievably soft and luxurious, while also being light and breathable. Ideal for both lounging and sleeping.” —Dhani

Jenni Kayne Cooper Cardigan in Warm Ivory, $525, available here: “Despite my penchant for slouchy, oversized knits, I’ve also found myself drawn to the other end of the sweater spectrum lately, gravitating toward structured, jacket-like pieces. The subtle bell sleeves, hip pockets and oversized buttons make this cardigan feel extra special.” —Steph

Gola Classics Women’s Tornado Sneakers, $100, available here: “I love a vibrant colorway on a tennis shoe, so when I discovered the many colorful offerings from Gola, I knew I had to give the brand a try. This style is super comfortable for all my New York City walking and brightens up any dull on-the-run outfit — exactly what I was looking for in a new pair of sneakers.” —Brooke

Celia B Geranie Dress, $300, available here: “I fell instantly in love with the retro vibes of this sequined frock, with the high keyhole neckline, bell sleeves and a vintage A-line silhouette. It’s lined with a silk interior to help combat the heaviness of the embroidery, and the pink fur trim and colorful floral motifs are the playful cherries on top. I can’t envision a more perfect New Year’s Eve dress.” —Savannah

J.Crew Relaxed Milano-Stitch Cardigan Sweater, $198 $97, available here: “This plush, oversized knit is made from a blend of acrylic, merino wool, polyamide, alpaca and elastane, so it’s cozy, stretchy and warm. I’ve worn it with denim, wide-leg satin pants and over a dress so far. But I also love how the brand styled it on its website — half unbuttoned from the bottom, atop a mini skirt and tights — and can’t wait to take that look for a spin myself.” —Steph

Mz Wallace X Dede Johnston Nik Bag, $315, available here: “This month, MZ Wallace partnered with photography artist Dede Johnston to bring her work to life via prints. My favorite is this adorable pattern of skiers sliding down a snow-laden mountain side, mimicking the artist’s most well-known landscape shots. The limited-edition collection is the ultimate après-ski bag for any and every trip to the mountains this season, and every winter to come.” —Savannah

Tuckernuck Green Dupioni Mollie Dress, $148, available here: “Red gets most of the love when it comes to seasonal colors this time of year, but this equally holiday party-ready vibrant green dress feels refreshing and a bit off-kilter, in a good way. And then the super simple shape comes in to keep the dress grounded and versatile, despite its Elphaba-worthy verdance.” —Steph

Moma’s Eye Spianare Ring, $175, available here: “I’m not sure what to call this spiraled shape exactly, but I’ve recently been coveting rings of the like, noticing other brands following suit on the budding trend. I love that this chunky shape has a narrow band, so it doesn’t feel bulky or too heavy in my hand. It’s costume-y without feeling gaudy, which is totally my vibe. It sparkles nonstop and I love this earth-y color combo, but I did just notice the brand also makes it in a pink color-way that I’m thinking I also need as well. ” —Savannah

Whalebone Clean Up Polo, $76, available here: “I initially got this for my husband, but as soon as it came I knew I’d be stealing it for myself. The sporty piece is made from heavy-weight woven cotton — it’s thick, but not quite as thick as sweatshirt fleece — that’s both cozy and breathable. I love the detail of the color-blocked collar, too.” —Steph

Janessa Leone Piper Beanie, $97, available here“Made from a warm wool blend knit, this beanie keeps my head and ears cozy without feeling scratchy or making my scalp stuffy when I’m inside. I love the neutral honey latte hue, which is versatile enough to go with any winter coat, and the soft brushed texture of the ribbed woolen fabric feels elevated and cool.” —Savannah

Hutch Liv Coat, $396, available here: “Few clothing items elicit a gasp when I’m online shopping, but this chocolate brown faux leather coat instantly had me imagining our long and happy sartorial life together. Between its statement faux-fur collar and belted waist, this long coat captures a touch of drama (and just the right amount of mob wife energy) that I love to see in outerwear.” —Catie

Sanctuary Facile Ballet Flat in Silver, $119, available here: “Who says a glamorously festive shoe has to include a high heel? I love the pinch of platinum sparkle these flats have brought to my Winter outfits. The Mary Jane strap and simply-tied bow at the toe make the shoe even more adorable.” —Brooke

Maison de Sabré Hello Kitty Charm, $79, available here: “I’ve caught the ‘chaotic customization’ bug, and I can’t help but accessorize my bags with this adorable Hello Kitty charm. It’s made of full-grain leather that’s of superb quality and also has a cute mini zipper that opens into a pouch. It’s likely meant for an Airtag, but me being me, I’ve turned it into an unofficial coin purse.” —Janelle

Theo the Label Rhodos Fisherman Cable Pullover, $265, available here: “With a stylishly oversized silhouette and a toasty vegan cashmere blend, this fisherman sweater is the epitome of cozy. It’s a chic (and, more importantly, warm) sweater for wintertime outings, but it’s also comfy enough for a girl’s night in on the couch. Beyond its unique cable-knit stitching, I’m in love with its slightly flared sleeves that keep my hands safe from December’s chill.” —Catie

Mere Mere Diaries Recycled Cashmere Headband, $52, available here: “Crafted from recycled cashmere (a biodegradable material), this knit hair accessory is buttery soft, breathable and has just enough stretch to not feel too tight (no headaches!) when wearing all day.” —Savannah
