For fashion lovers and designers alike, we’re now entering our post-fashion month mourning (and hibernating) era. Paris Fashion Week has officially come to a close, but if you’re not caught up, don’t fear: We’re looking back on all of our favorite sartorial moments from the Parisian shows.
Easily one of the most anticipated shows this season, Alessandro Michele made his Valentino debut with an explosion of lace, polka dots, sprawling hats, frilly collars and a tangible vintage flair. In a word:opulence. Miu Miu‘s star-studded catwalk featuring Alexa Chung, Hilary Swank, Cara Delevingne and Willem Dafoe delivered expert-level layering in the form of its signature prep-forward ensembles. Saint Laurent revisited its roots of styling women in well-tailored suits (plus Bella Hadid‘s runway return!), while Balmain played with pointed shoulders, sculptural silhouettes and bedazzled portraits-turned-dresses.
