Fashionista is looking for a paid part-time video intern to join the team remotely (bonus points if you’re located in New York City or Los Angeles!).
We’re on the hunt for a fashion- and beauty-obsessed candidate with a background in video editing, specifically for social media. This is a position suited for someone with one to two years of experience in video and social media editing. Although professional experience is a plus, we’re also interested in those who have honed their skills through school, personal projects, etc.! A familiarity with Fashionista’s tone, content and visual aesthetic is essential, as is a keen knowledge of the industry and pop culture. Strong time management, attention to detail and organizational skills are crucial. There is potential for this to evolve into a full-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Edit 3-4 video clips for Fashionista’s social media channels per day
- Organize content calendar
Requirements:
- Great communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to identify and edit clicky, engaging content from long-form, unedited video
- Availability during regular business hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday)
- Knowledge and awareness of current social media trends
- Advanced knowledge of editing apps such as CapCut, Adobe, Final Cut Pro and DaVinci
- Experience with Canva
- Interest in fashion and beauty
- Ability to start early September 2025 or sooner
Compensation: $16.50/hour
Above all, having a great attitude is key: Everyone on staff is a team player, and the ideal candidate is both positive and willing to chip in on tasks that aren’t necessarily included in the list above. Finally, those with the ability to think outside the box and pitch content ideas that are smart, on-brand and ahead of the curve will be given most consideration.
