Origin Story: From a young age, Elisa Johnson was drawn to eyewear as a way to elevate a look and express individuality. Over the years, she curated an extensive collection of designer frames, often receiving praise for her distinct style and ability to make eyewear a defining part of her look. While studying fashion in New York City, she interned with eyewear manufacturers and designers, gaining a deep understanding of craftsmanship, materials and the nuances of the industry.
Through these experiences, Johnson noticed a gap in the market: few options that balanced premium design and quality with accessibility — and even fewer Black-owned eyewear brands. Determined to change that, she set out to create her own line rooted in luxury craftsmanship but grounded in inclusivity.
After years of perfecting her designs, Johnson launched her namesake brand in May 2021, offering elevated eyewear that merges timeless silhouettes with modern edge designs. It’s luxury redefined for today’s wearer.
