Cate Blanchett never leaves a red carpet without leaving a mark — even when the look she’s wearing is something we’ve seen before. On Thursday, at the 2023 Fragrance Foundation Awards, the actor continued her streak of re-wearing pieces from her own wardrobe, this time shining in a re-purposed Giorgio Armani gown.
Styled by Elizabeth Stewart, the custom piece was subtly altered from the last time she wore it, to the Screen Actors Guild Awards in February. Then, the bodice was covered with lace that was taken from another re-worn gown (first seen at the 2014 Golden Globes, then again at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival); this time, though, there was a sheer, geometric fabric in its place.
“#CherishandRewear your clothes!” Stewart wrote in her Instagram caption.

Blanchett topped off the look with subtle bling by Louis Vuitton. (She’s the face of the brand’s high jewelry collection.) Opting for no necklace, she flaunted earrings and gems on her hands.
In an age where sustainability is at the forefront of fashion conversations, Blanchett demonstrates how to find longevity in our wardrobes.
