It’s no secret that bright colors and florals often reign supreme in the spring collections, but one creamy, mouthwatering hue has emerged on the New York runways as a true standout. Butter yellow has already made its rounds within the fashion world (see: Sabrina Carpenter‘s Frolov heart cutout dress that permanently lives on our moodboards), but now, New York Fashion Week designers are co-signing the shade as spring’s ‘It’ color front runner.

Tibi gave showgoers a masterclass in color blocking, pairing its butter yellow garments — suiting-inspired vests, knotted skirts, flowing shirts — with pops of vibrant red. Meanwhile, Simkhai spotlighted the shade via a midi dress adorned with three-dimensional floral appliqués and Who Decides War incorporated it into an oversized textural top and a frilly cardigan.
