C-Day has arrived.
Yes, we’re talking about the official launch of Beyoncé’s new hair-care line, Cécred. The Beyhive has been anxiously waiting for this moment since last May, when the singer first teased that a hair-care business venture was in the works.
On Tuesday, Cécred makes its debut via the “Foundation Collection,” an eight-product range that includes shampoo, hair oil, conditioner, a treatment mask, scalp scrub, protein ritual, a shaking vessel and sealing lotion.

The line of sillicone-free products, which were developed for all hair textures, reflect Cécred’s inspiration — “hair rituals from global cultures” — with a focus on cleansing, conditioning and repairing hair.
The formulas are powered by Cécred’s “patent-pending Bioactive Keratin Ferment,” which uses a form of keratin derived from wool, along with honey and lactobacillus (a common probiotic).

“As a Black founder, it was important to me to concentrate on where I saw the greatest need for healthy hair care and to place scientific innovation and product performance above all else,” Beyoncé said in a statement. “We started by prioritizing the needs of textured hair like mine, along with other types and textures that need more moisture and strength.”
She continued: “I want everyone to have the freedom to express their hair in ways that make them feel good, so I began by creating the essentials for hair and scalp health. My vision is to be an inclusive force of excellence in the hair-care industry while celebrating hair rituals across global cultures and helping dispel hair myths and misconceptions on all sides.”

Of course, Cécred is also partnering with Beyoncé’s foundation BeyGOOD to create the BeyGOOD x Cécred Fund. Beyond supporting entrepreneurship and fostering talent in the professional hairstylists industry, the partnership will include annual cosmetology school scholarships and salon business grants.
