She might as well be running for office.

In recent years, the White House Correspondents’ Dinner has become an increasingly celebrity-driven event — let’s not forget that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson made their official red carpet debut as a couple on Capitol Hill — and 2023 is no exception. Among the buzziest attendees were multiple members of the cast of reality TV show “Vanderpump Rules“: specifically, Ariana Madix, Lisa Vanderpump and Lala Kent.
For the occasion, the beloved Madix wore a cream-colored strapless gown with a corset bodice by Needle & Thread London, which she layered beneath a matching tulle cape. Vanderpump also wore a cape, but hers was gilded and sequin-covered. She layered it over a long black gown. For both reality TV stars, capes added quite the powerful touch.
Kent, on the other hand, did not get the solid-color or cape memo: Instead, she went with an airy floral look from Zac Posen’s Spring 2013 ready-to-wear collection. Kent paired the strapless dress with bejeweled, circular earrings and chose to forgo a necklace.
During the evening’s traditional roast, the event’s host, comedian Roy Wood Jr., took the opportunity to poke some fun at Madix’s ex, Tom Sandoval, while the “Vanderpump” squad laughed right along. Meanwhile, Madix might want to make herself a bit comfier in the nation’s capital — she’s become so publicly beloved, she might as well consider a run for office.
