Amaya 'Papaya' Espinal Pairs Her Christian Louboutins With Aritzia Leather Pants

Over the past few months, reality star Amaya “Papaya” Espinal’s life has been nothing short of a whirlwind. Or as she puts it: “It’s been a rollercoaster, but a fun one, and the seatbelts are buckled.” 

It’s a fitting analogy: The New York native emerged as the people’s princess during “Love Island USA” Season 7. Her catchy tunes, hilarious one-liners and kind-hearted spirit captured the hearts of America, leading to her big win. (As many on the Internet have stated, she could’ve coupled up with a tree, and people still would’ve voted for her.) 

Since coming out of the villa, it’s been a whole new reality for the sensitive gangsta: She’s collaborated with Rare Beauty, Garnier, Poppi and Shark Beauty; sat front row at multiple Spring 2026 New York Fashion Week shows (including Collina Strada, Kim Shui, Area, Andrew Kwon, Bronx and Banco, Luar and Cynthia Rowley); and made an appearance at Heidi Klum’s annual Halloween party.

For her latest move, the TV personality stars in Herbal Essences’ new campaign — “one of the biggest opportunities ever to have come into my life,” she says. She’s also currently filming “Beyond the Villa” Season 2.

What’s a luxury beauty item you’re into right now?

I’m obsessed with Tatcha. I had to save my allowance here and there back in high school.

What’s a drugstore beauty item you’re eyeing right now? 

I really like Eos, those round lip balms. They’re not eggs, but they look like it. 

What’s a beauty staple you love so much you’ve bought multiples? 

Too Faced lip glosses. It’s a classic. I love that they have different colors with cute names.

What’s an accessory you’re eyeing right now? 

Louis Vuitton Speedy 25.

What shoes do you want to buy right now? 

I can never go wrong with a new pair of [Christian] Louboutins. Bloody shoes, that’s what Cardi B meant. 

Any other luxury items you’re lusting after? 

I want a Van Cleef [& Arpels] bracelet. You hear that, Santa Claus? I’ve been a good girl.

What’s an affordable fashion item on your shopping list?

The Zara white top or black tees. You can always dress them up or down. 

What’s a wardrobe staple you love so much you’ve bought multiples? 

I would definitely say the leather pants from Aritzia. I have them in brown and black. I feel like those are just staple statements.

What’s the last product an influencer or celeb influenced you to buy? 

I’m going to have to give a big shoutout to my girl Olandria. In the villa, she was big on her body oils, the shimmery ones too. So lately, I had to buy a whole order [of body oils]. It’s the reason I’m glowing and shining. Shoutout to O — she influenced me.
