3 Zara Outfits I’m Buying to Wear to the Living Room on Thanksgiving

Alright everybody, it’s time to brainstorm Thanksgiving outfit ideas. For me, Turkey Day is always the hardest holiday to dress up for, because while I want to ~look my best~, it feels a little silly to get all dolled up just to sit on my couch and drink wine with my cousins. Plus, I pretty much always start the night in some kind of trendy pants and end up with them slightly unbuttoned courtesy of post-pie bloat. Anyone else have these very specific struggles, or just me???

Regardless, this year I do plan on looking cute. It’s been a long year, and following my technically-pointless desire to get all dressed up qualifies as practicing optimism. Hey, maybe I’ll get a cute photo to post on IG!

Even if only my close family members get to see my look, I still want to make sure it’s cute, so I’ve been deep-stalking the Zara website to see what my options are. I’m definitely leaning towards a dress (more room for dessert!), but long or short? Fitted or flowy? Knit or faux leather? From there, I’ll have to sort out my accessories—can I wear slippers? What about flats that look like slippers? If I pile on enough chain jewelry, will people think I made effort?

If this is just too many things to think about, fear not: I’ve already rounded up three ready-to-go looks below. Read on to shop my Zara Thanksgiving OOTD essentials; and if you do get that cute pic for Insta, I’ll totally throw you a like.

Look 1: Soft Set

This one goes out to the gals hosting Thanksgiving at their own homes. It’s your couch, you should be comfortable! A super-soft matching set still looks coordinated and chic, and these pants have an elastic waistband, so you can enjoy your cooking to the max. Pair it with the matching cropped turtleneck tank and leather clogs—and if you want another layer, a patterned blazer is always a good move.

Look 2: Sweater Weather

When in doubt, a sweater dress is always a good move. But don’t forget to finish it off with a Gen Z-approved swirly pattern for good measure! This Jacquard Knit Dress should do the trick, and if you can’t be bothered to put on a heel of any sort, a chunky loafer is key. This black lug sole pair will last you all the way through winter, so you’ll definitely get your money’s worth in wear.

Look 3: Do It For The Grid

This look is for anyone want wants to be comfortable, but still fully intends on getting a cute Thanksgiving photo for her Instagram feed. A floaty tiered dress is key! This one looks great paired with black boots on the Zara model, but personally? I’d go bolder for maximum IG impact. Maybe a snakeskin moment? Or, if you’re really bold, I won’t fight you on this metallic gold pair.
