Has anyone else been following the Jenner family trip to Aspen religiously? I’ve always associated skiing with looking like a very cold marshmallow, but apparently, one can look pretty damn chic if they try hard enough! Kendall, Kylie and the whole fam have inspired me to step up my outerwear game, which is why I’m now scouring the web for the best puffer jackets that are warm and cute.
Tbh, I haven’t been super excited about puffer coats in the past, but the Jenners have officially changed my mind. Fashion is all about practicality this winter (just look at the return of UGGs and popularity of loungewear sets). If there’s anything this past year has taught us, fashion doesn’t mean sacrificing comfort, nor does it require freezing in sub-zero temperatures. After all, you can’t do outdoor dining in that thin leather jacket you love so much! You’ll be shivering by the time your food arrives.
Luckily, like sweatpants, the puffer coat has evolved into something you actually want to be photographed in. If you haven’t been a huge fan of the long puffer coat trend, now’s your time to shine, because this year is all about the short, cropped puffer coats. The puffier, the better! There’s also been a rise in bold colors, textures and prints—hellooo, faux leather puffers! I couldn’t be more obsessed.
