10 Spring Candles That Smell Like Sunny Days & Blooming Gardens

Winter always holds on a little too long, IMO. So often, you get a tease of a warm day and then plunge back into weeks of dreary, cold weather. If you’re ready to embrace spring in all its glory, you can kick winter to the curb and spring forward by lighting one of this year’s best spring candles. I’m so desperate for spring that I’m going to try manifesting it. That’s how manifesting works, right?

Candles are generally considered a cozy must-have, but really, you can light candles all year round. But the scents require some tweaking as the seasons change! It’s time to shelve your musky, evergreen winter candles and swap to refreshing and floral, earthy scents. Spring is a time to feel hopeful after all—this year more than ever before.

Despite the seasons technically changing, it feels like it’s been March for an entire year. I’m cautiously optimistic about a post-pandemic existence, though, so I’m going to reach for a candle that’s refreshing and hopeful, even if it’s still 30 degrees out. After all, candles are all about transforming your environment and making it more pleasant. Floral candles can definitely chase away my Seasonal Affective Disorder.

It’s only a few days until spring ~officially~ arrives, and now’s the time to go candle shopping. Luckily, a ton of your favorite brands went all out this year—from Yankee Candle’s Scent of the Year to new spring scents from trendy brands like Otherland and Boy Smells, there’s plenty of options to choose from.

Below, I’ve rounded up 10 candles for all different aesthetics and vibes, so that you can find a way to usher in this hopeful season with a great scent. Happy spring, everybody!
